The Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand invites applications for Pre-Matric
Scholarship for ST Students (State/Center Sector) 2018-19, Uttarakhand from students of
Class 1 to 10. The students residing in Uttarakhand and studying in an affiliated school within
the state are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students from ST category will be eligible to
receive a scholarship of up to INR 3500 per annum.

This scholarship is offered by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must-
- Belong to ST category
- Be a domicile of Uttarakhand and studying in an affiliated school within the state
- Have passed the last qualifying examination
- Have not studied in more than one school in an academic year
- Have an annual family income of not more than INR 200,000 (for class 9 to 10 students)
Note: There is no annual family income limit for class 1 to 8 students.
What are the benefits ?
- Class 1 to 5 students belonging to ST category will receive a scholarship of INR 600 per annum
- Class 6 to 8 students belonging to ST category will receive a scholarship of INR 720 per annum
- Class 9 to 10 students belonging to ST category will receive a scholarship of INR 1500 per annum
- Class 9 to 10 students belonging to ST category who reside in hostels will receive a
- scholarship of INR 3500 per annum
How can you apply ?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -
Step 1: Click on New Student? Register Here.
Step 2: Select the state of domicile, select the name of the scholarship the student is applying for,
select scheme type, write the name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID.
Step 3: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFS Code, Account Number).
Step 4: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
Step 5: Login using OTP and fill the form.
Step 6: An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.

- Income certificate of the parents/guardian
- Caste certificate
- Proof of bank account in the name of the student or joint account with mother/father
